Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Giend LTD (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Anon mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”), including the backend API that powers chat, profiles, discovery, devices, and account features.
Who this applies to
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have received information from a minor, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may process the following categories:
Account and authentication
- Sign-in data: When you log in with a supported provider (e.g. Google, Apple, Facebook), we receive and store identifiers from that provider (such as provider name and provider user id) as needed to maintain your account.
- Email: If provided by you or your sign-in provider, we may store an email address associated with your account.
- Session security: We issue access and refresh tokens so the app can stay signed in; refresh token records are stored in our systems until they expire or are revoked.
Profile and discovery
- Profile fields: Such as display username, gender, birth date, profile image URL, optional description, and country—when you choose to provide them.
- Discovery preferences: Queries you use to browse or search other users (for example filters like gender, age range, country, or search text) are processed to return results; we may log such requests as part of normal service operation and abuse prevention.
Messaging and social features
- Conversations and messages: Message content, message type, sender, and related metadata are stored so we can deliver chat functionality.
- Reports and blocks: If you report another user or block someone, we store the identifiers and details needed to review reports and enforce blocks.
- Aggregated stats: We may maintain counts such as likes, chats, or followers associated with your account for product features.
Device, media and technical data
- Camera and Photos: If you choose to share media (such as profile photos or chat attachments), we require access to your device camera and photo gallery. Such media is processed and stored on our servers to provide the Service.
- Device ID and Identifiers: We collect unique device identifiers (Device IDs) and related technical data (device type, OS version, etc.) to maintain session security, prevent fraud, and manage push notifications.
- App settings: Preferences such as push notification on/off and online status visibility.
Purchases and premium features
- If you purchase subscriptions or in-app products, we may store product identifiers, platform (iOS/Android), verification payloads or receipts you submit, and subscription status and expiry as needed to validate entitlements.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service (including chat, profiles, and discovery).
- Authenticate users, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and protect users.
- Send push notifications when you enable them.
- Deliver and measure advertising where we use ad technologies.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
- Maintain internal accountability when authorized personnel use administrative tools, including audit records of certain staff actions (such as who acted, what occurred, and which record was affected).
Legal bases (where applicable)
If laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on bases including: performance of a contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement, and certain analytics), and consent where required (for example for certain marketing or advertising choices, depending on your region and platform settings).
Sharing
- Service providers: Hosting, infrastructure, analytics, customer support, and similar vendors that process data on our instructions.
- Advertising partners: Ad networks and measurement partners as described in this policy and in applicable in-app disclosures.
- Legal and safety: When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary by data category.
International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards.
Your rights and data deletion
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict or object to certain processing. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us. We will verify and process requests in line with applicable law. Some information may be retained where we have a legal right or obligation to keep it (for example security or accounting records).
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date.
